What is the point of Valentine's Day? Just the word, "Valentine" evokes images of romantic escapades, unique surprises and the pressure to do better than last year.

I think the whole idea is just to have another loving milestone to celebrate with your loved one. For entrepreneurs, it is a special moment to monetize that loving feeling. For lovers, it is a day to celebrate your relationship that lasted until that day. For long-time lovers, it is an ordinary day because everyday is Valentine's day.

Personally, Valentine's is a challenge for me each year to showcase my love for my special someone, in the most creative way possible. Sometimes, I live up to the challenge but sometimes I don't. But what's the point of Valentine's anyway...

Chef's Table by Chef Bruce Lim is the latest freestyle dining by-reservation-only restaurant in Manila. It is set on the rooftop of Tablescape Studio, which is hidden along Kalayaan Avenue, near Fort Bonifacio.

Chili's Greenbelt 5 New Hangout

Chili's new Greenbelt 5 store is amazing. It is our favorite hangout if we are craving for Mexican and American food. The margaritas and fajitas are a hit. This is the best value for money among all the Greenbelt 5 stores.

O'sonho Portuguese Fusion

O'sonho Portuguese Fusion is the only Portuguese Restaurant in Manila. Some say that there is a reason why it is the only one. There is a theory that a Portuguese restaurant can't survive in Manila. We will have to see if Osonho's Peri-Peri Chicken will stand the test of time. Check it out and let me know what you think...

Cibo Bimbi, Rockwell

We've loved Cibo ever since it opened in Glorietta. It was a favorite hangout of P&G folks during lunchtime. If we wanted to feel good, we would eat at Cibo. After how many years, I'm glad that they've opened a Cibo for Kids version on the 3rd floor of the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell. Now, we can enjoy Cibo with Aidan and Joshua. :) Let me share with you our favorites in Cibo...

Elbert's Cheesesteak Sandwiches

By setting up the first Cheesesteak Place in Manila (located in Rockwell), Elbert beat everyone to the punch. A lot of the foodie people I know prefer Philly Cheesesteak over the usual burger. The cheesesteak, popularized in Philadelphia, is made up of thinly sliced beef with melted cheese on a long roll.
