The resemblance of California Berry to the famous Pink Berry is obvious. The color scheme and menu is a bit similar. I like the frozen yogurt which tastes similar to Pink Berry as well. It was great to see nutrition facts for the California Berry yogurt.

The toppings are usually cereals, chocolate, canned fruits (except for the kiwi, bananas, mangoes) and bottled berries. Based on the nutrition facts, Total Fat is 0g but Carbohydrates from sugar is 17g.

The Ortigas outlet is actually small and hidden inside Silver City Mall. It is not an ideal place to hang-out because of its location beside the parking lot. I do hope they get a better location for their future outlets. You would need the map below to locate it.
I would recommend eating the frozen yogurt naked to really enjoy it.

i’m a big fan of “normal” yogurt meaning the soft (not frozen) kind that is bought in the grocery. i love plain with a few spoons of honey. will have to try this frozen kind soon- ang dami na nila all over. must be the current trend in eating yogurt now.

I tried this already, their yogurt is really good, closest to Pinkberry for me. i usually order original flavor.
In terms of Frozen Yogurt, this is the best and similar to Pink Berry. It is sweeter (which explains the 17g of sugar) rather than tangier. The location is a turn-off.

i tried it once, didn’t find anything special about it. tasted artificial to me, it certainly can’t be fresh, besides which, its an obvious copycat of pink-berry which i hate. wish they’d at least come up with an original name. most of all, they put fresh raspberry pics in their website and when i visited, i saw none of that, obviously they also stole or copied other company’s pictures, otherwise, why have a photo of fresh raspberry and not serve it? what a disappointment

Thanks for featuring them, I then checked their website and found out that they actually have a branch in Makati already & my oh my, but it’s just right in front of our place. Go check them out at the 2nd floor of Paseo Center. 🙂
I loved the naked yogurt! The tangy flavor is oh so good. And for the medium size, its only 37 calories! Can’t get any better than that! 🙂
Just to clear things here, California Berry is not copying Pink Berry’s name. It’s a franchise so the people behind the importation of California Berry here had to use/carry the name of the brand they’re franchising.
After school, my daughter requested to go to a California Berry. We were coming from Makati and the driver said that ortigas branch was closer. When we got to California Berry, my daughters asked right away for a large size. As usual, after 3 attempts to have mochi in our yoghurt, it was still out of stock. There was one SMALL piece of strawberry on the counter. Anyway, we asked for large. She started to extrude the yoghurt and a few inches came out then she mumbled something to the other guy, and poof, she disappeared to the back room and never came out. we were staring at each other and finally had the courage to ask the man where our yoghurt was. he then whispered something which i deciphered as NO MORE. So I asked what he meant and he said no more yoghurt. Since it was 2 pm, I do not think a lot of people bought in the morning , since they would have known they were low on yoghurt. I then asked for the office landline, and he told me they do not have an office phone. WHAT???? The other girl came out and gave me the manager’s cell. I texted her immediately. Anyway, my point is, if that is all you sell, then make sure you have it. If you do not have an office, then what is all these, how can people complain. I do not need an apology, I need you to run the business as it is supposed to and not scam people as to going all the way there and just be forced to get anything. That’s the last time we will go to ANY California Berry. I am sorry but I do not believe anything will change.

We just tried CB in Megamall. Please tell the owner to do something to promote it. My officemates flock to the other popular frozen yoghurt store. Pareho lang naman ang taste but CB is cheaper.
