26. We went here last night to catch the Hooter Girls from the US. And boy we’re glad, coz if the Manila Hooters will be the ones left, I doubt if people would still come. There are plenty of “beautiful and sexy Filipinas”, but how come the roster of Manila Hooters don’t have one?
    The food is so-so, the burger was dry and food needs some salt. Perhaps, you’ll go for Hooters just for the experience because it’s new here in the Philippines but after your first Hooters, you’ll never go back.

    I am not impressed with any of their food myself, I like the chicken wings but I won’t go to Hooter’s just for that. I think Hooter’s in the US make money by being a sportsbar not because of the ladies… the guys don’t even pay attention to the girls when they’re dancing. In the US guys go there to watch sports not so much to check out the ladies.
    I would have to disagree but this is not for the family, not for kids specially to a little girl 🙂

46. Anton, I don’t know how you can say that Hooters chicken wings are delicious. It’s super-greasy, for one. While it is spicy, it is not flavorful. It only get its kick from the dips.

50. C’mon guys, ok lang yung marepresent yung tunay na gandang pinay. Kasi po sa states those “Anerican Hooters” make 15-20% of the total bill (US$30 bill will get them US$4.50-US$6.00 so if their total sale for the shift is US$1000 they take home about US150 – US$200 a per short shift)
    So if you guys want them artistahin looking hooters (which is not the typical look of most Filipinas) are you guys willing to do that? Tip 15-20% of your total bill? Or give them 20 pesos or maybe 50 pesos, wow! I guess you get what you paid for hehehehe

61. Thanks for the info Anton :)I wanted to catch the non-local Hooter girls in action so I took my husband here for a Sunday dinner. We went here yesterday @ around 830PM. I was surprised because I thought majority of the Pinay Hooters are “exotic”, ehehe! Most of them ARE pretty! maybe it depends on the shift… ;)I am disappointed with the food though. I didn’t like the chicken wings (not just bec. it’s pricey) and the burger is dry 🙁

64. Come on, guys. The reality is this- Hooters girls are still waitresses. Waitressing in the Philippines is not like in the States where (in some areas) its a temporary job for aspiring actresses or models where you might see Jessica Alba or Pamela Anderson look-alikes. If you were a hot filipina, would you rather try your luck at modeling (or Wowowee? haha)or work in Hooters? Of course they’d rather model, diba? So it would be tough to get really good-looking Pinays for that job. Another thing: not all the waitresses in the US Hooters are hot ha. I was able to drop by the one in Hollywood Blvd. a year ago and they also had their share of fuglies.

65. Hi Anton, We went there with Lui and some friends for a mtg last yesterday and here is my review:
    Ambiance – 9/10
    The setup is similar to how it looks in the US. The only major difference is the fans =).
    Food – 5/10
    Food is bad. Needs major improvement from the wings and clam chowder. If you tasted food from Hooters US you definitely see big difference. Wings are not hot as they suppose to be when you order them hot. Clam Chowder taste so salty.
    Service – 3/10
    Sad to say Waitress here needs to improve their confidence and attention to details when they serve a table. We asked for a split of the philly cheesesteak and the waitress interpret that one as splitting the bill. My wife need to ask 3x to get a glass. The only good part is we end up asking for a new waitress from the Manager and end up having a 2k discount on the bill.
    Bottomline is Hooters will close up if the waitress they hire do not improve and the quality of food do not improve as well since food is pricey. A P750 pesos chicken wings set in Hooters Manila contains less chicken than a 20.99 usd in Mainland US.

    I think you are loosing your touch.
    I feel you are only presenting the good in the place. You rave so much of your son being with the girls, that you forgot to mention that the main selling point of the bar are the girl’s themselves. Now noone should dare correct me with things such as “I went there for the food, ambience, music, to be with family and friends” mumbo-jumbo. Why the heck do they allow their waitresses to wear skimpily if that is not their main crowd-grabber. Tell me, what does Hooters have that Friday’s, Chili’s or National Sports Grill doesn’t.
    Face it, the girls are straight-forward horrendous.
    I just squirmed the way you sugar-coated your review on their chicken wings. Even your photo does not make it look inviting. Oh, I can’t believe you did no notice the grease.

79. Pleasing personality? Of course!!! You should have a pleasing personality as you are in a customer service industry. This is a MUST. This is not a PLUS for you, as this should already be there.
    Hooters is really about the girls with the big b**bies. Ok, most Filipinas can’t afford to get a pair of those silicone puppies. Average cups are acceptable. But puhleez, what you guys lack in bumpers, make it up with the remaining package.

116. MADEL is the shit! She was great. Anyone who says negative about her is retarded. She’s very friendly, outgoing, and down to earth. The wait for food might take awhile, but helllllllo, it is a busy place. And why would you want fast service, when someone as pretty as MADEL is serving you!? Because MADEL was so great to us the first night Hooters opened, we came back and asked for her. The wait for her table was 2 hours, so obviously she’s doing something right because her customers don’t wanna leave. And we really waited that 2 hours, just to have her as our waitress. 125. Like the previous comment above, Hooters here in the US have ugly girls working as well. And yes, believe it or not, they have flat chested girls pretending to have C or D cups by wearing a push up bra or using fake inserts.
     Also, the reason we’re sending charlene’s and miriam’s to pageants is because of Filipino’s standards for beauty. Numero uno, they have to be statuesque (even though majority of filipinas are not). They have to be white skinned (miriam wasn’t but she was tall enough to make the cut).      i’ve been reading this thread and i’m really embarassed how some of our fellow pinoys are so crass, rude, and seemily-uneducated. it would be best if you girls just keep your chins up, take some of the constructive criticisms to heart and strive to do a better job. don’t bother giving these losers the time of day, natutuwa lang ang mga yan na pinapatulan sila.
     and to the blog owner, i think maybe closing the comments on this entry would do everyone good. just a suggestion. the entry has served its purpose…
