Enroute to Pagudpud -017

Didn't you wish that there is a one-stop online travel guide that can help you plan your awesome vacation or travel in the Philippines?

Sometimes, I myself, is frustrated with the low quality of online information we have for most of our awesome Philippines destinations. By far, the most comprehensive travel guide of the Philippines is the Lonely Planet and they are written by foreigners.

Lastly, most people ask me about tips on places in the Philippines and I thought wouldn't it be nice if I can share these tips with more Filipinos.

As a Christmas Gift to everyone, I was inspired to create online travel guides that can help you plan your next awesome vacation in the Philippines! One of the most frequently asked question from me, recently, is how to plan the Northern Trip to Pagudpud or Ilocos Norte. I've written an extensive and comprehensive travel guide that is short, complete, and full of pictures.

Introducing... Awesome Philippines Travel Guide on Pagudpud

The Definitive Online Travel Guide to Pagudpud

Favor. Can you check it out? Please place some comments in the articles and additional suggestions if you have been to Pagudpud and Ilocos Norte. Spread the word... Traveling in the Philippines should be easy and awesome!

P.S. This might be late already for people traveling this Christmas Season 2006. Sorry for that...

Sounds like an worthwhile (and GRAND!) project. Best of luck, and happy new year to you and your family. =)

this is simply perfect! just last night i was scouring the net for a good review on pagudpud and found nothing! good job anton! :) thanks!!

This is great! Very comprehensive and informative, indeed. I'll try to email you soon on more trip suggestions to the north since I hail from there : )

why don't we make this a reality in 2007
and finally have your travel blogs published
and sold in bookstores and gas stations

this marketing man is volunteering for duty!

we went to ilocos 2 weeks ago. the weather was ugly when we went to Bangui and Pagudpud (as in parang bagyo!) but was sunny in Laoag and Vigan. locals said na pasumpong-sumpong na ang weather pag december and january kaya ingat na lang kayo. i only had 2 close up pictures of the windmills and had a fever when we reached pagudpud, lakas kasi ng ulan e. the next day, umuulan pa rin nung inikot namin ang Blue Lagoon (lakas ng alon!),Bantay-Abot (donut with a hole) mountain and Patapat Bridge. di na kami nagpunta ng Kaibigan falls coz its a 30 minute ride away from Blue Lagoon and 30 minutes trek pa.

have you been to AQUA GRANDE RESORT? ganda dun! its near PATAPAT BRIDGE lang. entrance fee is 20 pesos. river meets the sea ang drama dun! the best!

for those who are saving money, try nyo yung POLARIS resort near Saud Beach Resort. kaya lang, just like what Anton mentioned, super mahal ang food! but atleast you'll have the finest sand kasi nasa likod lang siya ng Saud Beach Resort.

babalik ako dun! =0)

Hi Anton, I've got 40 out of 80 province already in my site. I created an index for easy access to old entries.

hi anton,

we'll be having an ilocos norte + vigan tour on march 2007... i've made a lot of research your more than welcome if you need assistance.

i was the one whom you chatted with about my BOHOL tour! :) best of luck! you may do SAGADA and BANAWE guide next! thats the third most popular in the philippine destination today well at least in

Hi Anton! Yeah, I'd agree on your comment that the Lonely Planet Philippines is the most comprehensive travel guide to anywhere here in our country.
I was checking out your Bantayan post a few months back and have been inspired to go there this January! If ever I find something new there or in Cebu, I'd definitely email it to you so you can add it to your online travel guides :).

Hi Anton, i was browsing your blogs / website for December 2006 - tried opeining the Pagudpod site but nothing is coming out - should i go to a specific site for this?

please comment, thanks

more power and thanks for the tips!

Hi Anton! It's me again, need your help once again. =) what happened to the site of your pagudpud site? i tried to go there but all i get is a blank page. My hubby and I are plannig to spend our 9th wedding anniv there next month...he is interested to read your travel guide. Thanks!

Hey there anton...

nice work here... (wondrin if this site is still active - i mean, if ur able to check it time to time) anyways, i thank you for this site that you created for those people (especially filipino) whos planning to have a vacation here. we'll depart on nov 23 (which is 2m, friday) to vigan first, then on our way to pagudpud. hope we'll have a very nice trip which i believe it will be. guess ill be posting another comment once i get back here in manila. bon voyage ;p

hi anton,

thanks for your very informative blog! :)

my friends and i are planning to go to pagudpud this february and we would like to know the estimated distance from Manila to Pagudpud so we can estimate the gasoline expenses for this trip since we are on a budget. :)

thank you very much for your help! :)

Pagudpud is one nice place to visit, as confirmed by a dear aunt of mine who just had a vacation there. Can't wait to got there next!

One thing I can recommend for budget travelers going to Pagudpod is to choose homestays over resorts. Pagudpod made me appreciate the great value one can find in staying over a local's house. I mean you get to enjoy the same beautiful beach but an affordable price. For more budget tips, you may read
