This is the final post on the [Bantayan+Malapascua] Series and Malapascua is such a nice place for enjoying beach and nature. In this final post, I would leave you with some visual ideas on what to do here in the charming island of Malapascua. I’m starting to miss this place everytime I look at the photos. We were so excited with how stunning the sugary fine white beach and the overall ambiance that we decided to have fun a create a pyramid ala pep squad 🙂
Malapascua Island is small (similar to Boracay) that you can have a boat trip around the island for P600 for the 2-3 hour trip. They rent goggles for P100 each which you could use for snorkeling in nice coral reefs and the Japanese shipwreck :!
There is no nightlife on this island on weekdays and occasionally only high-peak season weekends. But this is the hang out place to be at night @ the Sunsplash Bar behind Cocobana Resort. Cool ambiance 🙂 This is also the place for Still Standing at 15 shots! When we left Philippines was in the no. 4 spot 🙂
This is a must! Filipino style Hilot Massage for P250 🙂 It is soo good that I always keep on wondering why would I go for shiatsu or swedish when we have our own unique Hilot massage that you would keep coming back for more. They use coconut oil which would be ideal for sun bathing after the massage 🙂
You can also be a bartender at the floating bar during happy hour from 5pm-7pm buy 1 take 1 for drinks 🙂

Then have dinner @ Mabuhay Food for the cheap Filipino grill food for P250/head at most 🙂
Sunbathing or thinking about your pasts and looking forward to your future.
The best part is swimming to your hearts content! It’s like having a huge swimming pool since the water is clean, calm and with fishes to see. Although the corals were not taken cared of well so most of them are dead those in front of the main beach.
Order milkshake here at Blue Waters resort in this famous Sari-Sari Store format bar 🙂 By the way, they accept credit card but with 10% surcharge 🙂 Only a few resorts (Blue Corals also) in the island accept credit card, so bring cash! My estimate is P1,500/day on average 🙂
Or you can decide to walk or ride a motorcycle (P200) to see the island. Visit this honeymoon place called The Mangrove Oriental Resort.

nice pictures! i’ve been hearing a lot about malapascua and bantayan island lately. do you think i’ll survive if i go there alone? i’ve no one to travel with unfortunately.

@Daene — you’ll survive going there alone although it is alot more expensive. Although there’s not alot to do if you are alone… you can consider it as a retreat 🙂

Hi Anton. I think your blog is great, very informative! And very nice pictures too! My husband and I are thinking of going to Malapascua sometime later this year and since it would be our first time to go there, I would like to get your opinion on the best options for a resort. I was thinking of booking at Mangrove Oriental Resort (which I saw in some of your pictures).
