[Bantayan+Malapascua #5] Videoke ala Bantayan!

By

This is one of our favorite videoke place in the island. One of the advantage of being on the island on a weekday is that you can expect that you’ll be the only group in this restaurant. Marisquieira O Portuguese have a unique system for their karaoke: You have to buy a bottle of beer which would be equivalent to 2 songs. If you buy a grande size it’s equivalent to 5 songs. Coming from the chinese dinner @ Santa Fe, we decided to hang-out in this popular pub which is known for its pizza. We tasted them earlier in the day during merienda, and it was a home made pizza delight ๐Ÿ™‚ This is communal videoke style and oh boy, we are glad that we are the only people in this resto– as if we rented the whole place for P500 sing-all-night! I was inspired to take a lot of pictures while we were singing because of the cool ambiance of the place — check it out!

The team (L-R Francis, Chris, Carlo, Ethel, and Noel) just starting to select the songs ๐Ÿ™‚

Carlo the bartender serves the grande size red horse– for most of us this is the first time we ever attempted to drink red horse. It was very good — sweet and full bodied.

Daddy Noel with his “Let it be” shirt given by his son last Christmas. He is very proud of the shirt — he loved it!

After 5 grande Red Horse and 2 San Mig Pale Bottles…

By this time, all inhibitions in singing was all gone. All of us are singing all our favorite songs and even Ethel who claims not to sing in videoke, enjoyed singing ala Kitchie Nadal ๐Ÿ™‚ Francis (the guy far left) is the only songer among all of us.

Here is my artistic attempt at a videoke group shot ๐Ÿ™‚ This is for the postcards…

Singing an Apo Hiking Society song…

The after all is sang and done, we were very satisfied with our cool last night at Bantayan.

a final chat with the portuguese owner thanking him for the nice place and a great karaoke! By the way, we will missed this in Malapascua, so savor it only in Bantayan ๐Ÿ™‚
