[Viaje del Sol Series.5] The Charm of Kubli Springs

By

You have to cross this spring and go upstream where Jay had setup lunch picnics or evening dates all for the same price of P500/person (standard line pricing). … I love nature and settings such as these are priceless and I can already imagine a better alternative to Villa Escudero’s lunch where you also eat with your feet submerge in water and tables are setup on top of the water.
…The place is still virgin and undeveloped that we were cautious when we visited Kubli Springs since it feels isolated and you are in the middle of a valley with forrest all around.

LASIK Surgery @ American Eye

By

In fact, in the evening of the operation, I was out having dinner with friends from 7:30 to 9:30; having some red wine in Bistro 101 with my old friends from 9:45 to 10:30 and played Texas hold ’em till midnight.
…But be sure to call first and ask if the Retina specialist is holding office for that day so that you can have all the test in one visit Operation Day As I said, it is quite chaotic during operation day. … But be that as it may, the nurses are aware of your schedule and from what I can see they have a tight lid on necessary steps to be taken.

By

Map courtesy of Sinulog.ph Originally, I thought that you could witness the entire parade in a few hours but I underestimated the sheer number of participants in the parade. … Although the number of participants is already reduced by 25% versus 124 participants in 2005, you would have to watch it the whole day just to see all the contestants.
…Nino The Pinoy Big Brother Float The HP Sinulog Float Trumpeting the Sinulog Beat Street Dancing Tribe dancing to the Sinulog Beat Another Sinulog Tribe The parade ends with a performance in the grandstand.

By

In this essential guide, I would give you how to best experience Sinulog based on what worked for me during the festivities and what would I do differently when I visit Sinulog next year.
…In all the grand fiestas and events such as world pyro, be prepared to walk so here are some essential things to bring and keep in mind: Bring umbrellas or jackets in case it rains specially during the rainy seasons including Dec/January. … The photo contest category specifically states that it needs to be a candid shot and there are a lot of categories to join including Contingent (sun), Fluvial/ Solemn Procession (sat), Float (sun), Higante (sun), Sidelights (last week of sinulog), Route Decor/ Arch (anytime).

[Sinulog #1] Sinulog — The Best Fiesta in the Philippines!

By

People from all over the world visits Cebu to witness this Phils’ “Mardi Gras” in Cebu City and it would be a shame if we, Filipinos, will not be able to experience this awesome fiesta at least once in our lifetime. … I’ve been looking for an insider’s account on what to expect in Sinulog but you would have to talk to locals so that you can fully understand what happens there. … I will attempt to give an experiential account on Sinulog 2006 and maybe, I would be successful in convincing you that this is the best fiesta in the Philippines and you should take the next chance of witnessing this in Cebu.

Conti’s Finally Expanded in Greenhills!

By

For some time, Conti’s has been our caterer in the office for special lunches with VIP visitors, and you would crave about how good the food is. … Otherwise, I have food shots of the Baked Salmon and Mango Bravo that would surely make you head over at connecticut on your next greenhills shopping.
…This tasted just like an ordinary chocolate mousse so better save that calories or sweet craving for something else 🙂 The connecticut branch is small so better reserve when you plan to eat there during lunch/ dinner if you don’t want to queue.

a regrettable Lavigne Bistro dinner

By

Sorry for this but we were served with seafood bouillabaisse that was not fresh that tasted it was frozen for ages and cooked for us, the only customer on a Thursday night.
…I actually suggested to my brother to eat in Gourmand but you really need a reservations because that place is packed every night (in contrast to Lavigne). This is the culprit — seafood bouillabaisse that was suppose to be the killer food but turned out to be a seafood that is not fresh and frozen for the longest time.
